These new Japanese socks are made with over 65% washi paper from Mino in Gifu Prefecture. Mino has been famous for centuries for its production of high-quality Japanese washi paper.
The washi paper is mixed with acetate fiber to produce a special material that helps keep your feet cool and free of bacterial infection by absorbing moisture and allowing good ventilation to prevent foot odor. The mixture also gives the washi added toughness.
Each toe is separated to give the impression of walking barefoot and the paper quality of the socks makes a slight sound like walking on sand.
