This is an interlocked nylon brush from Japanese brush maker, Interlon. The manufacturing process involves giving the nylon fibers the kind of curl naturally found only in pig hair. The fibers given this curl are then arranged in a way which prevents any splaying at the brush tip. Yet if, during use of the brush, the curl develops in ways you don’t want, “reset” the brush by simply soaking it in hot water.
The total length of the brush is 179 mm (approximately 7 inches)
The length of the fibers is 11 mm (about half an inch) with a brush diameter of 2 mm.
