Hand-picked ripe beans grown in the mineral-rich red soil of Onna Village in the northern part of Okinawa's main island.
As a measure against typhoons, the cultivated variety is a rare yellow Katsuai shrub. The windbreak surrounding the coffee fields is also well-grown.
Raw beans are carefully hand-picked to remove defects during the selection stage. Try high-quality Okinawan coffee!
Special features: Manza Coffee has been cultivating coffee for over a decade in Onna Village, at the gateway to Yanbaru in northern Okinawa's main island. The farm benefits from mineral-rich, slightly acidic soil that is ideal for coffee growing. A windbreak surrounds the coffee trees, providing both typhoon protection and shade to moderate strong sunlight. No pesticides are used; instead, pests found during daily field inspections are carefully removed by hand.
Only fully ripe cherries are harvested, then put through a careful screening process before becoming green beans ready for roasting. The farm employs the washed processing method, resulting in green beans with very few defects.
