This beautiful piece is hand made and painted by a traditional ceramics company in Seto, Aichi. The history of the company goes back nearly a century. An expression of Japanese beauty, these kimono maneki neko are produced by a skilled and dedicated team. One artist produces the maneki neko cat, another the kimono.
Note the different colored eyes which represent the cat's fickle
nature. Other features are the delicate eyeliner and pretty kimono.
Each piece is unique and makes for an exquisite decoration or Japanese gift for family or friends.

The folding screen is custom-made to order by a long-established Kyoto craftsman. The fabric on the base is made from the same material as the kimono.
